Heya Spike... I found three schools up in Birmingham with the British Council for CHinese Martial Arts.. Theres the Taoist Arts Org - www.leefamilystyle.com/style/taichi.htmPratical Tai Chi Quan - www.taichichuan.co.ukKai Ming MA Assoc. - www.kai-ming.co.uk Ive heard of the first and good things from it If you can find anywhere that teaches the 48 step Wushu Taijiquan or Taijijian ( Tai Chi Sword) i would recommend them as that is what i have found to be best... but depends on what you are looking for in it...like which style of tai chi... Hope thats a bit of help/start...

I have to agree with Chase--fruits are the best things in the world. You have to watch out now that its winter. Taking vitamins helps. I take a multivitamin and a vitamin C every day. I haven't been sick in three years ;D. I never really thought that doing Tai Chi had anything to do with it, but I guess it fits into the equation somewhere. When you start getting into the more hardcore aspect of it, it's great for cardio stuff. I'm really into Tai Chi Quan, but Tai Chi Jian I've never really gotten into. My instructor has wanted me to try it, but I'm afraid that I'll chop someone's head off. I'm more of a staff, maybe a sai person, not a swordsman.
And I was reading towards the beginning of this thread... what's a lift? Is it elevator in UK speak? I've not really thought about it until now, but what other words are different there than in the States? I'm curious...

im not that much of a fan of fruits. im more a vegies and rice person. or vergies and noodels, vegies and potatoes, coffee and cigarettes in german we say lift for elevator and i think the british also have it like that. others: gasoline - petrol is all i can think of. also you say n-th floor and they say (n-1)-th etage or something (got an own word for the 1st floor like we have it in german)
