Hey. I thought id get the ball rolling...
Im pretty new to tricking, 2 months max. I have about 6 months experience of PK and 5 or so years of skateboarding. NEHOO i can frontflip, backflip, wall flip, wallspin, but im having trouble with aerials. I have a few mates who can do them, but the cant explain them to save their lives. i have the first half of the rotation, but once im most of the way round, if i dont put my hands down i dont finish the rotation. Its buggin me like hell. Also i rekon i have a good chance of landing double legs if i tried them, but im not ready to try it on grass and there are absolutely no gyms around where i am. is there much risk involved in double legs?

hIYa guys,
I really struggled with airels for ages lol....since you have no gym..find a sand pit..and practice into that...alot of the power to get around comes from your arms m8...and the super jump you need to do to get into the air...and whip your leading leg over as fast as poss...ill do a tutorial for this move...and put in in the main site when its cool and done..

yo dave, in my opinion, there isnt much risk in a double leg move...but its not about if its risky or not...its about looking after your health and not wanted to mess urself up..do it safely and when your ready..id say go 4 it..just do it into a softish material, sand, gravel stones, anything soft and safe

lol, i went and tried it, twas ok. landed on my knees a couple times. oh well. im sure ill get them soon enough. on a lighter note i got my wallflips back after having lost them for a few weeks. which brings me onto another point. whenever i learn a new trick i do about 10, then lose it. if i dont keep persevering i cant land it again. very odd. p.s when i say lose it i mean cant do it again, so i wont tolerate any half arsed jokes about misplacing them.......anyone making one will be hunted down.......

maybe you could try it on a wall thats not too high and jump up so your feet land on the wall, not go over (this is called a monkey plant). This way if you feel the need to bail out at anytime you can jes lift your hands off. then, as you get more confident, try going though and lifting one hand off a little bit to give some room for error. its important to get enough upwards momentum when doing mokeys to get through, not having enough sets you up for some amusing, if not painful slams (you just wait till you start doing king kongs from gaps, i nearly lost my face to one of those ho-hum). yeah not meaning to freak you out. unless theres a 20ft drop the other side, theres not much risk involved in this tech, your reactions should be fast enough to sort yourself out should you catch a foot.
