Hey people does weight training limit the ability to do them flips and stuffs?? i know it reduces muscle flexibility.. tell me what you G's think With weights you gotta make sure you know how much or how little to do and what parts of the body that your working on, personally I just use my own body weight for exercise, circuit training and almost yoga type works out help alot. Put it this way, you know Usher the R&B singer, well he doesnt touch weights, its all done by own body weight. Being able to support your own body weight gives you a huge advantage performance wise too, helps in every area of fitness.

in view of this sport...then doing more repititions of a lighter weight is much better than doing less reps of a much heavier weight....
she is there for us if we want her....

sorry...mayeb i mis-read that...if you wanted to know HOW it is better to lift lighter weights more then there isn't much evidence either way but i think... hmmm lifting heavier weights with les reps will maximize strength to muscle mass but this will proabably be stationary strength and although you will be strong it may not be the best kind for parkour where you need to be moving fast and fluidly... i think using lighter weights with more, faster reps would allow you to keep flexibility and increase speed as well as strength, though not as much maybe... its all about YOUR body structure you must change weight/strength to suit your training i would recommend without knowing anymore...medium weights/fast reps...to failure... sorry i couldnt be much help

I dont personally use weights and Im as ripped as most celebs, I use my own body weight for strengthening and power work outs.
I'm 5"10 and I weigh 12 stone and im not even that big, I weigh that much because every muscle in my body is well developed, some of my mates who build are the same weight as me and have bigger muscles but I still beat them all in play fights or arm wrestles or whatever.
But yeah, using weights correctly they can improve your game, just make sure you do balancing/power and stretching work outs to even it up.
