Along the lines of integrating exercise into daily life ... Take stairs at least four at a time, climb a tree to eat lunch, roll your feet (extremely) when you walk and tap them (quietly, but constantly) whenever you're sitting down. Don't just walk here and there; spin or skip or sidestep onto and off of the curb as fast as you can (take advantage of walk time). Go without a chair at a meal and hit a stance instead (martial artists, you know what I mean; everyone else, just set your feet wide and make the human chair for twenty minutes). Carry stuff funny ... instead of a backpack, hold books out at arms length while you walk. Reading back over this, it all sounds kind of ridiculous ... guess I'm just weird ... but this sort of stuff works for me. It's all really tame, nothing like working out in a gym or doing a run, but it sort of catches the tiny parts of your body that you miss with planned workouts and it lets you utilize time and energy that would otherwise be sort of wasted as you go about other parts of your life ... Questions? Comments? Snide remarks?

If it works for you this is fine. I wouldnt like to stand in chuchum sogi while eating. I tend to tap my feet while sitting, but i think it reduces my concentration for the thing for which I sat down. And id rather carry 10 liters of water in my backpack than holding stuff at arms length. Though i have to agree with you in some point: Lots of people hit the gym several times a week, but when it comes to walking anstead of riding a bus, or taking stairs instead of using the elevator they are too lazy. and THIS is ridicolous. I guess its all about balance edit: time for relaxation is not wasted time

Some good ideas...i always take the stairs if possible and when i walk up them i extend to my toes like a calf raise...and i always walk whenever possible, or cycel if i am in a hurry - going to school 3 and a half miles away and no buses really helped... haha...i eat my breakfast in mabu stance (horse stance)..concentrating on not spilling it takes away some of the pain lol... and climb everything i can find =) do agree with your ideas, but i would combine them with my gym/training sessions = for best effect =) im constantly trying to find a way to enhance my fitness and doign small amounts of work like this is great because you improve without thinking your working...

Sometimes when I drive I work out with a gripmaster. I do as many reps as I can and then switch hands and repeat a few times.
