I usually keep in mind that I need to stay better then all of my mates, watch some team evo vids then im out! plus the fact that I try to better myself in some way at least 3 times a week.
I've had a week off from any kind of training from a girl thingy injury thou :s

Exactly the same as you Graftin. I try to attain a few new things every week. Also watching a few vids but mainly i just think about what would happen if i didn't train and that scares me into doing it. Plus music rules, even if i dont actually like the music it still helps when training.

targets. best way to keep motivated and set a target with a reward (alough in most cases the reward will be nailing a trick or an object). trust bruvs

When I first came across a video of someone tricking I said then and there, no matter how long it took, I would be doing that someday.
So since then I went and got all the stuff needed to get into shape and in 3 months have basically been my own motivation, seeing direct results of everything like never before, basically going from out of shape/scrawny to a new level of physical well-being.
I guess combine that with music and that's all I need to keep going =)

i've been trying to do that 540 kick for ages now. I still haven’t got the hang of it.
But i keep at it, because i know I can do it. Self-belief can be motivating.
Allot of the time i get frustrated that when i fail a move. Like a spinning kick or something. I keep at it until i can pull one off 100% of the time. Frustration can also be motivating.

I have problems with vert 360 palm spins, I learn then... can do them great, then 20 mins later I cant do them at all. Been like that for a couple of weeks now, total frustration!

You have to remember, it takes time for your muscles to learn a move. So, if you can't do it after a couple of weeks, thats ok, its just a realy complex move that requires a lot more practice. Don't be harsh on yourself, just keep at it. Don't look at as if you suck or failed, try to see it as a challenge, like an arch-nemesis. They are always there trying to bring you down, but each time you have to rise to the occasion. On top of that look back often. Look back to where you were a week, a month, a year ago, and notice just how far you have come. It is frustrating to try to climb a mountain and the peak seems to never get closer, but when you look down the trail and see just how far you have already climbed its uplifting.
