hi everyone im new i just started doing this sport about around christmas time and so far ive gotten down the basics like Cartwheels,Frontflips, butterfly kicks, and working on wallflips and off to aerials but i have a problem for some reason i can only do it at the place where i first landed my wall flip with a mat which is in my school cafeteria and today i did it on the grass next to the halls in the school and everytime i want to do a wallflip i can only do it there in the cafeteria.i tried doing it at the walls next to my apartment but i alwys stopped at the first step.and i think the only reason i did it in the grass its cuz this fat dude said if he were to do a cartwheel to back handspring then i had to do the wallflip now me thinking "yeah right this guy is gonna bail it nasty" the dude actually did it and pretty good for his FIRST Time...... and cuz i agreed to the deal i did the wallflip in the grass and cant see to do it anywhere else but there...i dunno if its fear or location im in or something but when i try to do it anywhere else i stop before i can do the move (Hesitate)
ps.i go for the 2 step wallflip but i end up doing it with one step i still land it but im going for 2
ps#2. im making a clip of me doing it in the cafeteria tomorrow and maybe on the grass and show it to let you see if im doing anything wrong
Wooo umm long typing (fingers hurt) also one more thing lol i started doing wallflips after i saw chase or his brother do that crazy ass one in "free your mind" video then one with the brick wall(red) so lol thanks for inspiring me....next to Neo of course.......

Heya dude...
i had this very problem when i started out as i learnt on a carpeted wall with tumble pit mat flooring so i couldnt really get that hurt...
however i realised its all about visualisation...if i can land it off of something absorbent surely it would be easier to land one off a solid push...if you can do them on the cafeteria wall - trust me you can do them anywhere (within reason) lol - if it helps just run through exactly what you do in the cafeteria, almost think you are there - and when you do land it you will see you can do it....
The only way to get over that is to practise and become confident and go for it...
Also, i thnk most people think the 2 step is harder than the one step - there isnt much room for error, so if you always change to a one step - practise doing a one step and get them good...
i doubt it is fear as you have done it..location is maybe because you feel safe in the cafeteria - remember it is the technique that matters - that is what you are doing - not where you do it so much...as long as the wall isnt slippy...
Run through things slowly, think about every aspect, then just go for it. maybe you should get someone to spot you on other walls to start with?
You mean off the tree in free your mind?? that was chase and adam...nice "tree" flips =)

I can do a backflip (on a trampoline anyway), but I want to do a wall flip. Is it even possible to do one on a vertical wall. I've seen a lot of videos on line and the walls usually seem slanted. I've read a tutorial, but just can't get myself to do it. I haven't actually tried yet, unless you consider running up to a wall trying. I have done it many times with my friends running alongside me and my arms around their shoulders, but when I slow mo it, my arms are flexing a lot, so I think I'm relying to heavily on that. Anyway, I guess my questions are; can one really do a wallflip on a vertical wall and do you guys have any tips?
