MK is just a sea of round abouts!! Wherever i stand i can see like four!
We compete up there to, that is where the British wushu squad tryouts are held each year...

you know the one where you lie on the floor and have your leg pushed towards your head so your doing a split... In China they forced your legs to touch the floor behind your head and then bounced...both normal split and box split upside down :s:s

lol i took a well jokes slam today - i was vaulting a rail and i was holding my bible in one hand coz id just come out of church. i put the bible down on the rail coz i thought i wouldnt put any pressure on it, but it slipped and i went straight to the ground. there were quite alot of people too - i felt shame.
Note to self - never vault whilst holding bible.

When i was training in China, i was learnign a form where my sword needed to be thrown up in the air jump, perform a 540 inner jump kick and catch the sword as it comes down...
Anyway was practising at night, landed the kick, looked up and couldnt see the sword because of the bright lights - only saw it at the last minute but it slipped through my fingers coming down from 30 feet hilt first and hit me in the chest..ouch...that was not a fun injury - couldnt breathe properly for a few days - worst bit was that i still had to do training for the 8 hours each day...

Firstly, that sounds like a nasty injury, you were pretty lucky it wasn't worse. More importantly, that sounds like a nice manouvere. Would like to of seen it performed without incident . Also, training in China? Sounds like you have had some great oppurtunities to progress in your art. Would love to see more of you doing some wushu.

i do have a video clip of my sword teacher doing it in competition...he was only 20 but soo amazing!
I was very lucky, and after that i removed it from my routine and changed it to a throw - roll - dive roll and catch whilst in the dive.
Hopefully, if we manage to get sponsorship we will all be going this year - so so so so wish we can, its a different world training there - when the new site is up ill get some of our wushu videos processed. =)
