I got enough fears (falling from height, drowning). If I wanna scare myself I face the fears I already got. I dont watch horror movies in order to plant ugly pix into my brain or to create new fears (that have nothing to do with reallity by the way). Wanna be scared? Take a look inside and find a fear. Fear is a matter between the I and the World. Dont let film makers interfere at this point. Wanna be disgusted? listen to whatever is in your local charts! Have a good time $h2daK! now i gotta post a link... www.judoinfo.com (i hate to be repetitious but its just the best i tell ya, lots of small movies of judo techniques) www.stanford.edu/group/jujitsu/Video/index.htmlsome videos of throws

interesting article. quite scientific. so people are trying to define parkour... i think this is neither necessary nor helpful. i think its impossible to write a paragraph that makes a good definition of parcour. try to define Tae Kwon Do, Mathematics or Yoga and you will fail - those things define themselves by being what they are. This article is quite phiosophic also. lol he even quotes Heisenbergs Uncertainty Principle (I did not get how quantum physics got into the discussion, but dont blame him - hes a western phlosopher ) Really interesting was the part, wether parkour will be occupied by comercial interests like skateboarding was. We will see. My tip to this guy: if you write an article of that length: make some logical paragraphs, will ya! Anyhow: thanks to Kyosanim TK17 for the link. I found the article very interesting (at least for a western philosophical view on parkour, if not for the actual content)

Erm, simon. He did make logical paragraphs. He was simply creating a unbiased and intelligent report on the parkour scene in March '03. Which was a long time ago. Kiell was senior researcher for the up and coming Jump:Britain documentary and is a cool guy, so unless you have something to back it up i don't see the point in slamming him. Plus Kiell has been a traceur for a long time, he knows alot about the art.
As for the commercial elements affecting parkour i would say they already have, but thats just my opinion. I think the art will be exploited by any company that get the chance. Not having a go but i don't think that was nessecary, baring in mind you don't know him or as it seems anything about what he has and continues to do for parkour.

my posts start to lack respect... im sorry logical paragraphs: i thought something like: history of parcour, "definition" of PK, PK scene, ... that would give the article a better overview (in my mind it lacks overview) I thought hes a philosopher (the article reads like typical western philosophy to me - still i shouldnt have judged over the author). forgive me, im new to the scene.
next time im gonna check if the author is famous before speaking my mind about an article...
