im fellin right up for a strict training regime to build up my upper body strength so i can do that sick thing cole does in evolution (on the pole). lol, thats not the only reason, mostly i want to be able to go from a baby freeze (or whatever they call it these days) into a handstand. infact screw it, i want to be able to handstand properly dammit! Can anyone suggest a good training ting i could do for a short period every day (and i mean short, im a time peasant). safe guys.

hey m8 I think the best way 2 learn is to go against ya wall in ya room or ne were and hold it then kick away and try holdin it, remember it is about wrist strength aswell as balence so build thouse wrists by pushing away from the wall the more u do this the better and stronger you will get b patient thou do it about 10 times against ya wall ;D

Push ups, Dips, Pull ups. Keep doing those for a month or so and you'll be able to support your whole body weight on one arm, like me

If your talking about the flag pole then i think it has more to do with technique than that. I couldn't do it for a while then i changed my grip and body positioning and could do it quite easily. But obviously push ups, dips and pull ups will help.

oh the pole thing, i think ive got the technique right, but im not strong enough. i have a guy showing me how its done and i cant do it.

hey i love that pole hold and i go with a push and pull technique push with the lower hand and pull with the upper hand then make u body like a bar thats how i do it

Upper body can be done entirely from slow pressups and widearm chinups, that's all i do really, and i went from fat to fine in my upper body and back ^__^

I do under a thousand pressups of different kinds every other day. Its hard at first but if you do like 30 at a time, have a short break and then go again. I say that I can't got through a door unless I hit 10 pressups...

to gain good strenth for handstands i recomend ....... handstands ... ;D
against a wall ..maybe h/s pressups if not then just dips.. or rock your legs left to right to get the balance strenth in your forarms abdomen built up
or just gud old press ups ...never fail

Do loads of push up's. there easy to do and really effective. By the way. Whats the differnece between a push up and a pull up?

A pull up is when you pull yourself up on a bar. A push up is a press-up ie. when you go on all fours and lower and raise yourself to the ground. If you mean whats the difference between a chin-up and a pull up, a chin-up is a pull-up with your hands the other way round.
